BIO

Erin Breznitsky is a Brooklyn-based playwright whose work has been performed in NYC and abroad. Her play Satellites can be seen at Dorset Theatre Festival from August 6-16, 2025, in a production directed by Adrienne Campbell-Holt and starring Kerry Bishé and Christopher Lowell.

Satellites was also named the winner of Premiere Stages’ 2022 Play Festival, was produced by Premiere Stages in 2023, and further developed at Cape Cod Theatre Project in 2024.

Erin has been a finalist for Shakespeare's New Contemporaries, a semi-finalist for the O’Neill Theatre Center National Playwright’s Conference and the Princess Grace Playwriting Award, and her full-length plays have received workshop productions at FringeNYC, Rogue & Peasant Players, and English Theatre of Rome, Italy. Her numerous 10-minute plays have appeared in Six Part / Reign or Shine Productions' "Love Drunk" series and New York Madness. Other projects include a commission by Urban Stages for young audiences; producing "Amplify," an International Women's Voices Day event showcasing the work of woman playwrights; and “The Living Mural,” a socially distant pop-up performance in summer 2020.

Erin has participated in workshops with Erik Ehn, Lucy Thurber, and Stuart Spencer, among others. She is the recipient of the Lipkin Prize for Playwriting and a full scholarship to La MaMa's International Playwrights Retreat in Spoleto, Italy. She holds an MFA in Theatre from Sarah Lawrence College and is a proud member of the Dramatists Guild.
